A conference and green fair to be held in July aims to explore issues of consumption, regeneration and the sustainability of communities - locally, regionally, nationally and globally - and what we can do to avert the danger of consuming our future. The fair, organized by Greater Manchester SERA, will look at potential paths towards a solution including finding ways to increasing people's involvement with, and influence on, policy makers such as Local Authorities and regional/national government. Possible speakers: John Prescott, Maria Adebowale (Social and Environmental Justice), Bill Eyres (Chair of SERA) and Joe Ravetz (Sustainable Cities Network).
Although there are already several environmental groups supporting this initiative, SERA are looking to broaden the support and for willing volunteers. Contact them with others of help:
