Campaigning Does Work!

At an anti-war demonstration in Manchester recently, a woman explained it was her first time at anything like it. She explained she had got involved because she was a member of the jury at the trial of Rosie and Rachel who had delayed the construction of a Trident nuclear submarine by damaging its electronics. After hearing all the evidence, the woman was not only convinced of the need to acquit the women but also of the entire case against nuclear weapons and war! She then met somebody on a Stop the War stall and found out how to get further involved. Isn't that fantastic? If only we had everybody's attention for three days.
