Climate Change Course

An evening course entitled "Climate change: causes, impacts remedies" is being run every Thursday evening at the Friends Meeting House from 26 September until 12 December inclusive from 7:30pm. The course leader, Mike Koefman, is coordinator of the Campaign for Hydrogen Economy. The twelve lectures will cover earth, climate and weather; industrial society and fossil fuels; the geopolitics of fossil fuels; impacts of climate change on different human societies and specialised ecosystems; adaptation; and remedies, especially the promise of hydrogen as a replacement for fossil fuels. There will be two guest speakers, experts in their fields, and a detailed course guide distributed at the first session. The course costs £30 including handouts.
