Genetically Modified Food goes wild in the aisle!

Time: 2pm, Saturday 31 October 1998
Location: Co-op Pioneer supermarket, Chorlton
Equipment: lab coat and goggles, clipboard, magnifying glass, silly purple afro wig.
Mission: To identify food items with potentially hazardous genetically modified ingredients.

Report back: Public Investigators of the FFBI (Frankenstein Food and Beverages Investigators) successfully completed their mission, much to the amusement of Chorlton shoppers (and bemusement of Co-op guards). Shoppers responded positively to the action and many signed petitions asking the Co-op for the removal of GMO foods off Co-op shelves and the city council for GMO free catering services.
