Christmas Capers

It might not yet be time, quite, for changing the clocks but quite a few groups are planning their Yuletide festivities. Here's just a selection:

Manchester Environmental Resource Centre initiative: Thursday 10 December at the Jabez Clegg pub, featuring a talent karoke night and "Stars in their Eyes". Tickets: 0161 273 1736.
Manchester Friends of the Earth: after their Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 8 December (7pm, Friends Meeting House) the group will be visiting a few local pubs, getting some food and then partying the night away in a club. Everybody welcome. Details: 834 8221.
Greater Manchester and District Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament hope to organise a fundraising Ceilidh and possibly comic revue of the activist year as a Christmas party for activists in Manchester. December date to be fixed. Phone 834 8301 with offers of help, suggestions and so on.
